Leaving the South Rim of the Canyon early in the morning, we drove
to Albuquerque, stopping off at the Great Meteor Crater, and the Petrified
Forest / Painted Desert National Park. (not much of a page by this
park).
The Crater was not worth the money we spent on it, so I would not advise others to follow that path.
We entered the forest from the south and drove through it in a northerly direction.
